Overview

Smart Lister AI is a Shopify app that helps merchants create and manage draft product listings from product photos. This policy explains what data we process, how we use it, how long we keep it, and how merchants can contact us about privacy requests.

Information We Process

We may process store information, app installation and session details, merchant-selected product images, generated draft listing content, product metadata, app settings, billing and credit usage records, support messages, and technical logs needed to operate, troubleshoot, and secure the app.

The app is designed for merchant product listing workflows. It does not require access to protected customer data for its core features.

How We Use Information

Information is used to authenticate merchants, store uploaded images, generate AI-assisted product draft content, create merchant reviewed draft products, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain billing and credit balances, and improve reliability.

Shopify Data

Smart Lister AI uses Shopify APIs only for the app features selected by the merchant, including reading product information, creating or updating draft products, and working with uploaded product images. We request only the Shopify access scopes needed to provide these features.

AI-Generated Content

Uploaded product photos and merchant settings may be processed by an AI provider to produce listing suggestions. Generated content is presented as a draft for merchant review. Merchants should review all AI-generated titles, descriptions, tags, SEO text, alt text, and product attributes before publishing.

Service Providers

We may use trusted infrastructure, database, storage, analytics, payment, support, and AI service providers to operate Smart Lister AI. These providers are used only as needed to deliver, secure, and support the app.

Sharing and Sale of Data

We do not sell merchant data. We do not share merchant data with third parties for their independent marketing purposes. Data may be shared when required to provide the app, comply with law, enforce our rights, prevent fraud or abuse, or complete a business transfer.

Retention and Deletion

Merchant data is retained while the app is installed and as needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve issues, and comply with legal obligations. When a store uninstalls the app or submits a valid deletion request, store data is deleted or anonymized unless we need to retain limited records for legal, security, billing, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Security

The app uses HTTPS, Shopify authentication, webhook verification, scoped API access, and operational safeguards designed to protect merchant data from unauthorized access.

Merchant Choices

Merchants can review and edit generated drafts before creating products, delete drafts and uploaded images in the app, uninstall the app from their store, or request access, correction, export, or deletion through the contact address below.

We may update this policy when the app, legal requirements, or our operational practices change. The effective date above shows when this policy was last updated.
